Even though you have moved, you leave a trail and can be found! There are many public records than can be searched. They may also contact previous landlords (who may have a new address to send a security deposit refund), or prior employers (who may know what area you moved to).
There are other things that are checked also, but I do not want to give out all my sources!

Lots of different ways....its called Skip tracing...Refer to the following article -
http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-skip-tracing.htm
Or do a search on skip tracing.
The repo man gets paid big bucks to find you and take your vehicle or whatever you are defaulting against. They dont stop looking for you even if it takes forever to find you. It might be better to just turn yourself in, because whatever the repo man charges your bank for finding you - it will be added to the loan amount that you owe. Once the bank sells your vehicle, you will owe what ever deficiency balance that is left over.
Running from the REPO man isnt helping you - youll just owe more money in the end. Good luck!!

It's not the Repo person who finds you, it's the Finance company that hires the Repo Company...
They can find you through your Social Sec. #, Drivers license bureau, Bank accounts, Credit bureaus (which now are used for many employment checks), change of address forms, new utility accounts at your new address, and some cars have GPS in which they can locate it. In this age of technology, you can't hide for long...sooner or later, you will pop up on their radar.
My best advice, don't even try to hide from them...It's not worth it...Either pay your bills, or return the property to them if you cannot afford it.
