Yes...and no.

The problem is that expensive & worth are not absolute terms. I feel something is expensive if I'm uncomfortable carrying that much cash around. If a thing does what I need it to do, then it is worth it.

My car (06 Pontiac Solstice) has been totally worth it. I'm still happy I bought it after having made two years worth of payments. I could've bought an Altima for half as much, but it wouldn't have been worth it. I could've bought a Hummer for twice as much, but that wouldn't have been worth it either. These are both fine vehicles, but neither of them would have given me what I wanted & needed in an automobile.

It certainly isn't worth not paying for an expensive car you took off the lot.

depend what you mean by expensive- a six figure car will depreciate rapidly in its first few years... u can even find a good used luxury car like an audi a8 or a bmw 7 series for the price of a brand new shytbox.

no its not "worth it:" not unless its the last car you'll ever get

This is the way I look at it. A car gets me from point A to point B and back home again.
I just want it to be safe, save on gas, comfortable and a nice appearance. Doesn't need to be expensive for that.
