When you do the driving test to get your license, do they do a vision test if you wear contacts? They did when I got my permit but I wasn't sure about the driving test

My daughter is 4. She's 40" tall, and weighs about 40 lbs. Will she have to be in a booster seat much longer? Are the requirements based on age, or height and weight?

I'm borrowing my in-law's 99 Ford Windstar and need to install 2 child safety seats in the 2nd row seat. But it seems to me that the seatbelts do not lock, so there is no way to keep the seat installed tightly. In my car that I usually drive, you need to pull the seatbelt all the way out in order for it to "lock".
Any ideas?

I was driving an isolated mountain road near Zion National Park and my Tom Tom gps told me to make a right turn 100 feet ahead, that would have taken me flying off a killer of a cliff. Thank the lord it was day light. Maybe I could sue them. It was an English lady announcing the driving prompts, maybe she doesn't like Americans.

I almost had an accident a while ago. The driver was on his mobile when he swerved suddenly to my lane without looking or signal.

He apologized but hell... i could be pushing up daisies if i didn't managed to maneuver between two trucks! >_<

Tell me if I'm crazy, but I swear that I've heard that it's better for your tires to be just a little under-inflated in the winter, because it provides more traction on ice and snow. Is this true?

ok, there is a corner by my house which is an extremely tight turn. it also has ramp from the street to the sidewalk. someone always parks really close to the corner and directly in front of the ramp. is there a law that states you cant park within 15 feet of a corner? im pretty sure there is a law for parking in front of the ramp. in your responses please link to a web site that you found your information or provide the law information. thanks

there was an intersection up ahead and the lane we were in split into two, but at the time it was still one lane. Isn't it her fault for coming up beside me when it was still one lane?

People are caught and fined for the purpose of not fastening seat belt, but isn't it a paradox that the city buses are without seat-belts.

hasn't driven in a long, long time. He's in his 60's, and makes suggestions while I'm driving that, most times, aren't in good judgement. I drive every day. I think about where I'm going, what lane to get in, and look in the rearview and side mirrors, also all around me. I'm 17 years younger, and feel I'm better equiped to deal with sudden changes. What do you think?
