that if you do not receive notification of exceeding the speed limit within a 14 day period that you cannot receive fixed penalty points or a fine...?
I was in the car with my brother.. we were chatting away and then realised he was going 35mph in a 30mph country lane zone. It's highly possible he will receivepoints as a friend of mine got them for going 32 mph in a 30mph area!
If the above isn't true about the 14 day notification period .... any legal experts out there?

I'm a 24 year old girl who, as embarrassed as I am to admit this, still doesn't know how to drive. I don't feel so bad because Brittany Murphy and Amber Benson (from Buffy the tv series) both didn't learn until late too. I'm way younger than my siblings and by the time it was my turn to learn to drive, my parents wouldn't teach me. So, I need to get my license to get a decent job and I need it fast as humanly possible, so how much time or how many lessons before I can pass my driving test? I just need to be able to get to and from a job, and I could still take lessons after I learn to drive, but I really need to do this asap. Any ideas?

I think the police should have a device that they can get set up ahead and use a lazer target and just shoot and blow up the vehicle that is refusing to stop, after all, by not stopping the person is causing serious risk or death to the innocent public. By the way a 2000 lb automobile is considered a dangerous weapon when it's not stopping for police and therefore I see nothing wrong with the Police shooting the fleeing felon.

And I jumped onto the back of the car rather than getting run over, and hung on instead of trying to jump off and hurt myself, and she drove up the road at 60 mph,and pulled over to where a cop was giving someone a ticket, should he have given her a ticket?

i was driving on I-95 one day, and this pick up truck right in front of me was carrying some furnitures, and i think the driver didn't secure them good enuff, so a big chair fell out, and he kept driving unaware of it. Then, luckily i was able to swerve into the next lane right at the last moment to avoid the consequences, and even more luckily (for other people), there weren't any cars real close by at that time, so i don't think anyone else behind me had problems later, but see my point? Should pick-up trucks be discontinued from production, and the existing ones' owners be penalized in some way for owning one? They're a menace to (driving) society.
