I understand that if your speeding or drinking or your high on some drug you have the chance of hitting another car and seriously hurting them. What I really dont understand is why a cop has the right to pull you over and give stupid ticket for not wearing a seat belt. Who are you hurting? If your driving down the road without a seat belt on....you arent hurting the other drivers on the road....your hurting yourself if anything. And seat belts dont always help you in a car crash! Why is it that it now is a law to wear your stupid seat belt? Did we forget once again about the free country...

Taking into account that most of us live in high rise estates and your car may be parked pretty far away/underground. Besides, when someone hears a car alarm at night do they actually go investigate?

There is something very wrong with having to ask this question, but as far as I can tell, it's just a matter of gov't. dollars going to the wrong pockets!

I was in an auto accident recently and a friend was involved. I lost consciousness after the airbags deployed and didn't remember what happened. I was found at fault for following too closely. The friend told me everything and since I told her I wasn't getting a lawyer, I guess she spilled the beans. I feel like this situation is unfair because now my car and another car are totalled. She told me things that were not told to the police like why her kids left the scene(they were not seated properly didn't want a ticket), she was in a rush to get where she was going, the car in front of me was all behind her car, which caused me to slam on my breaks. The 2nd car was really at fault but I got ticketed.

My car alarm has a mind of its own... its on a 2003 celica. If I use my remote feature to lock my doors, my alarm will sometimes just go off randomly... I dont know what to do with it because I dont know what could be causing it. Does anyone know what could be causing this?? It gets very annoying running back and forth out of work, restaurants, the movies, etc. to go turn it off. Serious answers please!
