Depending on the size and source of the crack, it may be repairable, or you may need to have the windshield replaced. I would recommend taking it to a glass shop, to see it they can repair it. If you are not skilled at windshield repair, you have a great chance of making the problem worse when you attempt to do the repair yourself. Most glass shops will only charge $25 -$35 for the repair, and only charge you if the repair works.

Magic Epoxy Fix for Small Windshield Crack

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've got a 1/2 inch crack in my 355 front window from a rock. My car wash (and other car shops) in San Diego advertise a "crack repair" which seems to use epoxy (or similar) to repair small windshield cracks to new for about $150.

Does anyone have any thoughts or experience on this type of repair?? If it works, seems it would be much better than an insurance claim and paying the deductable for a new windshield & labor, which I suspect is $2000 or more.....

regards-
Dino

Call your insurance company and ask them. Most companies will have it fixed for free if your policy has that clause in it. I have Allstate and in my policy it is covered without a deductible. If not, then call a windshield replacement company and get them to come out and fix the crack. Most co. will come to you and it is about $100 to fix it. I think its worth it instead of getting a ticket 2x that.

It's too late, the crack will grow with every bump you hit. For your own safety, get it replaced asap. If you hit a deer, the windshield might not be able to hold.

one million. Psychology shows we are all in a position we purely might desire to be inspired. 2. i've got been advised at 30 you recognize what you're easily able to. think of: now wellness is slower than at sixteen, you have young ones, kinfolk, living house and so on. 3. Yeah I do firmly have faith we are all able to being what we choose. it particularly is purely; are you easily inspired? and not trouble-free artwork. I agree at the same time with your 2nd to final paragraph.
