Driving is a full time job. Drinking coffee or a soda is bad enough but a cell phone ties up significant portions of your brain to listen, process information, and formulate a response.
I consider myself to be a very fortunate man in that, I am not at all important enough to require 24/7 contact with all of my people. In other words I don't have a cell phone and with any luck at all I will be able to finish my life with out ever having to wear a 12,000 mile long leash.

i hate it people who are talking on their phones and driving should get tickets they swerve all over the rode their to bizzy talkin they drive right threw the stop sign or light and get hit or hit some one an emergency call is understandable but they should pull over and find out whats going on when my phone rings i don't answer it en less its the person who is watching my kids the hospital or my husbands work but i pull over before i answer it no phone call is worth going to jail for hitting a walking person or somethin like that

I think they should hang up and drive the damned car. Headsets, are slightly more o.k. but still not as good as actually paying attention to what's goin on OUTSIDE the car. Pro, and skilled drivers can usually handle it, but for most....... They get too wrapped up in what they're talkin about.

It kinda irritates me, even if it doesn't involve me... driving requires concentration, & it's not safe to divide ur concentration between talking on the cell & driving.

It is fine if they can do two things at once. I think they should probably use a blue tooth or a headset though so they can have both hands free.

My wife gets mad at me when I yell at people about it. Only because i yell this. "SHUT UP, HANG UP, AND DRIVE" This should be a bumper sticker.
