MACKINAW ISLAND DOES NOT PERMIT MOTOR VEHICLES EXCEPT UNDER EXTREME AND UNUSAL CIRCUMSTANCES AND WITH A PERMIT ONLY

I don't think we should have car alarms anymore. There are so many that go off during the night that I ignore all of them, unless they go off right beside me. It's just really annoying, and most of the time, it's due to drivers accidentally setting off their car alarms. Experienced car thieves probably just ignore the alarm, knowing that everyone will ignore it.

I know this is an odd question and I'm not trying to be funny. A friend who I love was in an accident ten years ago that killed his two best friends. He was driving and under the influence. He was punished for his behavior and has become one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. However, he still grieves and it interupts his life severly. I know if he could talk to people who have been in his situation or can relate to his situation, it would help him feel less guilty and heart broken. I've Googled and Yahood and AltaVistad for support groups but I don't think there are any. If any one can help in any way, I would appreciate it. Mostly I would like to find someone who has been in his situation and can be his companion in recovery. (sidenote: He is already in therapy but I think this will help him as well.) Thank you so very much in advance.

I have to give a presentation on ways to improve and educate young people on driver safety. What is a good way to get them to listen and think seriously about driver safety?

The government says they want to protect the children but they don't seem to care that children are standing up and sitting in other kids lap on the school buses. Also they say not to put a baby near an air bag but some of the newer model vans have side air bags in the back. Are they hypocrites?

I know this question is probably worded poorly but I dont know how else to say it. Most days I feel so tired when I drive. I will feel fine before but when I'm in the car I get sleepy. Its becoming more and more frequent and it makes me nervous. i havent had any complications I just notice I get tired when i drive. Its not at any certain time, sometimes it before or after work other times its just driving home from the store. I tried shutting off everything and just concentrating, I tried turning up my music, some days nothing helps. I'm not scared i'm gonna fall asleep but I'm worried I'm not paying as much attention to the road as I should. Anyone else heard of this or feel this way??

I ride my motorcycle quite often and routinely find many people willing to tailgate freakishly close to my back tire. People do not understand they put people's lives in danger every time they tailgate. It seems people are in some sort of a rush to just eventually stop at the next red light. On average, nearly 45,000 people die each year in this country as a result of car accidents. I hope to not become a statistic at the hands of someone else that felt they had to be in a rush to go no where important.

I need information on: Traffic speed with up town (or down town) light sequencing. Traffic light sequence time, time can be set to allow several miles of non-stop driving. This method is used to set speed limits or allow traffic flow at predetermined speeds. Sometimes they are used to intentionally stagger traffic.

Usually they are wearing mp3 players and running with traffic so they can't see or hear approaching cars. What's the thought process that leads them to think this is a good idea?
