I love hearing the same line repeated 47 times and listening to some rapper talk about how much money he has.

They can't comprehend Beethoven! I must say that C&W is worse though. It's all audio depression! OK maybe they suck equally!

To be quite honest, it doesn't even have to do with the type of music, it's about respect for others, or a lack of. I also hate rap! I like many types of music, but don't feel like everyone else should be subjected to it. I like my music loud! I play it loud in situations where others won't hear it because I know not everybody wants to hear what I'm listening to. If I'm on the highway....it's LOUD! If I'm on local roads, in traffic or at an intersection.....I adjust my music to a level that only I can hear. I believe the noise ordinance where I live says that if you can hear it at 50ft, it's too loud and you can be ticketed....I think that's not strict enough.

The statement that rappers only brag about their money isn't true for all of them. There are Christian rappers....and they're not bragging about money....It reminds me of the stereotype that country music singers only sing about how their wife/husband is cheatin and they're drinkin and their dog just got run over by a pickup truck. Not true.
People listen to what they like. Some people don't even care what the person is saying!!! The point is, don't try to understand why people like what they like, because the things they like about it (repetition, a loud bass beat) may be the very things that you dislike about it!!!!!!!

Why does anyone listen to emo music? It sucks! All it does is make teenagers get in the mood to cut their arms and kill themselves!
See that ^, it's called a stereotype, a.k.a. a generalization. There is a lot of meaningful rap out there by the likes of Tupac, Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Rakim, Talib Kweli, and Kanye West.

People are different and have Different tastes.
a lot of people dont listen to rap because what it says, but it has a good beat and flow to it.
