My boyfriend just had a steel rod and screws put in his right leg a week ago. He feels he is ready to drive saying he can use his left foot to work the gas and brake pedals. Besides being dangerous I want to know what the law says about it. Anybody know or can send me to a web site?

One night a police officer was stalking out a particularly rowdy bar for possible violations of the driving-under-the-influence laws.

At closing time, he saw a fellow stumble out of the bar, trip on the curb and try his keys on five different cars before he found his. Then sat in the front seat fumbling around with his keys for several minutes.

Everyone else left the bar and drove off.

Finally he started his engine and began to pull away.

The police officer was waiting for him. He stopped the driver, read him his rights and administered the Breathalyzer test.

The results showed a reading of 0.0.

The puzzled officer demanded to know how that could be.

The driver replied, "Tonight I'm the designated decoy."

I received a parking ticket for parking in a handicapped space. It was right in front of a store in a little town in Dover Township. The space looked exactly like the other spaces. It was not painted in blue and did have a small sign that was over 6 feet tall indicating it was a handicapped spot. In my quest to find a dress for my handicapped daugter's dance, I never took notice, until I came out of the store in 10 minutes and found a ticket. I would never park in a handicapped space, most especially since I have a handicapped child and realize the importance of special spaces. The ticket was $274.00. It took my breath away as I didn't feel that the space was marked properly. I am on a fixed income and it is going to be difficult to pay this, but I am wondering if I should just pay it and never go into that town again. I am very distraught. Do I have any chance of fighting this? Thanks for your input.

I know I've seen cars before that don't have any stickers on the window. Well I want to know which states don't have inspections because I'm unjustly given so much hassle over my car for inspections when people are driving real junkers. There's nothing wrong with my car & I take excellent care of it through regular maintenance & servicing. Everyone is just harder on me than they are with anyone else and I'm tired of it. Now I know some states don't do inspections or emissions tests and I'd appriciate it if you live in one of these states, leave a comment and tell me so I can start looking about the possibility of moving somewhere where I can live my life in peace. Thank you.

I read an article about window tint on driver's side window and it said something about models made 1998 or older were exempt but by Jan 1, 2008, the exemptions expires and all tint must be removed. I own a 1997 dodge ram for 5 yrs & just NOW got pulled over 4 having tinted driver side window. I cannot find the article I had read about the tint exemptions. I also purchased this truck from an authorized car dealership, so if this is so illegal, do they have the right to sell this to me? Need some advice... oh, I am in Illinois. TIA........
