I know I've seen cars before that don't have any stickers on the window. Well I want to know which states don't have inspections because I'm unjustly given so much hassle over my car for inspections when people are driving real junkers. There's nothing wrong with my car & I take excellent care of it through regular maintenance & servicing. Everyone is just harder on me than they are with anyone else and I'm tired of it. Now I know some states don't do inspections or emissions tests and I'd appriciate it if you live in one of these states, leave a comment and tell me so I can start looking about the possibility of moving somewhere where I can live my life in peace. Thank you.

I dont think it it a state thing. I think it is a county or city thing. Because i am from Georgia, and I live in Macon, we dont do it here. But I know Atlanta does. Good luck,

Just because there is no window sticker does not necessarily mean no inspection. Some states, mine included, require inspection to keep your tags. In my case, the sticker on the license plate means my car is registered and has passed inspection. It also means at the time of inspection, I provided proof of insurance.

Then there are other states where a car is only required to be inspected when it is purchased.

But Good Listener is right, you can be prosecuted if lack of maintenance contributes to an accident.

I think you've gotten the answers you need on which states have no inspections. But you should be aware that ALL states have the ability to prosecute you in case of an accident in which you caused physical damage or bodily injury and the cause of the accident can be traced to a malfunction of your vehicle that was caused by neglect of maintenance.

some states are financially unable to implement a program which would guarantee cars to be in very good shape, like emissions and such. blame the fault on the politicians who you vote in office. why would they cause their respective states to go bankrupt on a program which would take money from their pockets?
