Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ABSOFRIGGINLUTELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Under 21 and over 55,The elderly should not have to pay for these tests(they have already payed their debt to us and the state
for many years.
Having worked in Fire/Rescue for 20 years I've seen the end result of bad reflexes and bad judgement from both ends of the spectrum.

Geez, how is being in your 50s elderly??

I think after the age of about 65, it might not be a bad idea for them to get the eye tests every few years, but that's it.

No not 50, but during their retirement they should be required to test twice a year, as well as beginning drivers no matter what age they are, until at least 2-3 years of experience are achieved.

I guess 1 big question is how do we determine the age to start enforcing testing. My mother is 61 and drives fine. Perhaps setting a starting age (I would say 55) and then every 3 years after that. The other thing to note is that their income is reduced at that age and may not be able to afford testing.

YES! I have a grandmother that still drives and she's 93 years old! Some older people still have it, but some don't and I truly believe they should have yearly exams to make sure their eyesight and response times have not deteriorated. Some elderly people that live alone may not be able to see the decline in their own driving abilities. I think the state should be able to step in and mandate their licensing.

How old are you?LOL...50 isn't elderly.75 or 80 is the point where drivers should be tested.

50 is not elderly.... How old are you? Just get your license? I do agree that after the age of 65 maybe.

50 is not elderly. I think people should have to begin retaking their test at 75.

Yes, their reaction times and vision aren't as keen as they were when they were younger and to ensure the safety of other people on the road it would be neccesary that the elderly test again to reinforce their ability to drive safely.

Yes, as people get older their reaction time slows, I believe 50 may be a bit young, however taking precautions are a good idea.
