how far you have to go without reporting incident in order not to get trafic ticket or how long you could wait to report incedent in order not to get ticket?

If you were not cited at the scene of the accident, you won't get a ticket retroactively.

Report the accident right away to your insurance company. The other person probably has.

Waiting will make things worse, not better. You could get cited for failure to report the accident.

David is right. Don't leave the scene, especially if there is an injury. Too many people are in trouble for that these days,.
