Depends how much, if any, damage is done. Honestly, if no one saw me and I didn't do anything noticeable or visible, I would forget about it. But when I first got my license, I bumped into someone pulling out of a parking space, and it dented their back bumper kind of, and I still left. I AM AWFUL I KNOW.

The answer is simple but doing it takes a will to do things right. First try and find the owner. Even if you say no one saw me you are taking a chance that if you leave the scene you could be found as a hit and run. If you can not find the driver fill out a card and put if on the windshield. Put you name and phone number on it. Don't say it is you fault just tell the owner to contact you. Write down the make and model of the vehicle and the plate number. Call the police dept and explain what happen. They will tell you what to do. Take pictures if you have a camera. Last but not least call your insurance company. Please remember the vehices are only metal and plastic. When no one is hurt then it becomes a solvable probem and those memories go away. Good driving too you!!!!

Every one here had better start running, because I just found all the butt heads that have been hitting my car. lol If you hit another car, and leave, it is hit and run. If damage is slight and no one is around take pictures for self protection, some people will say you did other damage to their car. Leave Your name and phone number. If damage is bad call the police and fill out an accident report. Then call your Insurance agent.
Ask police when and were you can get a copy of the report.

First off.. dont do a hit n run. If someone saw you, you're in big trouble! If you are an honest person first you would write down all the information that is visable. Lic plate # color, make of car and call your insurance company tell them the scenario. Most likely if the damage doesnt match the deductable you have to pay out of pocket so watch for that.

You know, I did the same thing when I was 7 years old. My mom went in the store and left me and my little sister in the car. The car was on a steep hill. I always wondered what that stick on the ground did and I pulled it. Stupid me. The car went down the hill and my sister and I were screaming. We hit a brand new Linchon (sorry, cant spell it) convertable with the tags still on it!!! My mom came out of the store and screamed. I got in BIG trouble. We hurried off and were lucky that we were not seen. I felt pretty bad about it. Ever since, I knew what that stick shift did! LOL!

Pick up all of the broken parts. Place them neatly on the hood of the car that you hit then take out your wallet and leave it on the hood of the car with a note explaining how you smashed up their car and that they can have all the money and credit cards in your wallet. Then see if you car still runs and drive to the nearest police station and turn yourself in.

In other words it will cost you alot if you hit and run.

Leave a note on the car you hit with your home phone or cell phone #. How can U be absoutely sure U were not seen?? It's worse to leave the scene than to admit you hit the car.

Hit it lots of times with your car, hit with a bunch of stuff, steal it, take it to the dump to make some money.

The right and moral thing to do is to turn it in. Call the police to fill out a police report. It is illegal to leave the scene of an accident. You would be in more trouble for leaving the scene.

The LEGAL thing to do would be to stay around until the owner of that vehicle came out and you would discuss the accident. It is ILlegal to hit a vehicle and drive away.
