What is considered an intersection and more importantly “passing in an intersection”. I was ticketed for “passing in an intersection”. I went to see where the cop claimed I passed in an intersection. I was on a highway with no stops. Their was a cross road which had stops, however the highway had no stops. Also it was a broken yellow line indicating it was a passing zone. The IC he gave me on the ticket was 9-21-8-7 which does not address this issue, but passing on the left.

My husband has found a full-sized chevy bronco that he wants to buy for our son for his first vehicle. I like the safety aspect, but I feel that a teen driving a huge vehicle is more likely to have an accident due to inexperience. I personally have always found huge vehicles intimidating and more difficult to judge distances but my husband disagrees and does not see any difference. Anyone have any information on the subject?

I took the test here was done in 20 mins was given 100% and it didn't test me on anything that would benefit me as a driver. When i took my test in England it was an hour long, the pass rate is 45-50% and reqiuired professional lessons @$20 hr.. Is there a possible link between the fact that driving is the biggest killer of teenagers in america, over alcohol, drugs, guns etc, and the basic way we teach and test them to drive? Shouldn't the test be more comprehensive, to give them a better chance of surviving into their twenties, should we change the way we teach them in our schools? Or should we follow California and raise the age limit to learn to drive for our kids from 15/16 to 17/18?

My employer issued me a vehicle to use to get to and from work, this was not a favor it was in the contact(I work Security). And this car had all types of things wrong with it. Brakes sqealed, front tires are bald, rear tires not much diffrent, the windshield wipers didnt work, so with all these things wrong with the car I cant believe my employer would make me drive this thing....in the snow(with chains at least). so what I am asking is, when you run a fleet of cars dont you have an obligation to make sure they are safe to drive in all weather conditons? and this isnt just one car most of the cars in the fleet are like this. I could write up a laundry list of things wrong with these cars, and if I am not the only one that thinks this is wrong who can I contact to let them know my employer is making his employees drive unsafe vehicle? thanks for your time.

I always get frustrated when someone tailgates me, or just stops before they rear end me or pulls out from a stop sign a little too far as I drive, or doesn't stay in their lane or cuts me off, arghhh other drivers

I am doing a research paper and I really need to find a statistic that states about how many alcohol related accidents are actually tied to alcoholics..not just average drivers..even if someone could tell me a stat on the amount of alcoholics in the US it would be helpful.. thanx!

Following on from my previous question (and thanks to everyone who responded), if you did find yourself without power in the middle or outsied lane on a motorway, but able to free-wheel for some distance, which light would be best to use? If you just wanted to show that you were just slowing down then the hazzard lights would obviously be best. But, bearing in mind that you want to move left (in the U.K.) toward the hard shoulder, would it be better to use the usual indiators used when turning left? Would using the going left indicators, rather than the hazzards, mean that there would be less chance of someone hitting you when overtaking you on the inside lane? ( I know nobody should overtake on the inside, but I also know this sometimes happens in heavy traffic, when the cars in one lane slow down more that those in the other one(s).)

I was driving behind a police car which stopped for several red lights. The raised brake lights in the rear window stayed off the whole time. The brake lights near the turn signals either stayed off the whole time (including when braking) or on the whole time (including while not braking). I could not tell which because it was night and they look like taillights (which were on). No brake lights went on or off the whole time.

Do they disable the brake lights so that criminals cannot tell when they are stopping, or was there something wrong with this police car?

The examiner was very impolite. While I was taking a drive test, she wasn't pay very much attention to my driving just kept chewing her tootsie candy and left package inside my car!She hardly told me to go left or right (how am I suppose to know the direction?? And I tried to keep my speed at 25 but she said "it's a 30mph speed limit, go go go!" like she wanted me to drive so fast. And when we were on the way back to dmv office, I didn't realize it was dmv office on the left so I kept going straight and the lady told me in the last minute to go left and the line on the road was so faded away I can't see any line at all. She told me later I wasn't in the proper lane to turn. She failed me and said I changed to left lane without looking over shoulder! That's the only reason she gave in my paper and there's no mark on anything except "intervention by the examiner".I just think it was unfair to me. I reschedule appointment already but I wonder if I can do anything to report her or somethin
