What is considered an intersection and more importantly “passing in an intersection”. I was ticketed for “passing in an intersection”. I went to see where the cop claimed I passed in an intersection. I was on a highway with no stops. Their was a cross road which had stops, however the highway had no stops. Also it was a broken yellow line indicating it was a passing zone. The IC he gave me on the ticket was 9-21-8-7 which does not address this issue, but passing on the left.

Take a photo of the area you were ticketed at and go to court.
If indeed you passed IN and intersection....you will have to pay a fine but since you go to court...it will be reduced.
If you go prepared...it will be best.
Also depends on the state.
In CA...you CAN pass in an intersection and you will be ticketed for doing so...however...in the CODE book it is ONLY a suggestion as to NOT do it. The judge will not have you pay anything because the judge should know the law.
I have the CODE book. Lots of things people are ticketed for that is NOT a law.
