I am in the process of selling my vehicle, which makes it all the more sweeter. The door will not open from the outside. I took it to a locksmith and they said that there was corrosion preventing it from turning. The inside power locks still work fine. She didn't have a Nissan Altima (1999) lock available to be keyed. Does anyone know where I can get one? Better yet, is there some way I can fix this myself? I don't want to spend a fortune on the repairs, seeing as its technically no longer my car. Being honest, I told the new owner I'd fix it....There are 'key kits' on ebay, but I'm not entirely sure what it is I am supposed to be looking for when buying. Can someone please help!

i bought a car on thursday from a person, took it to a mechanic today and found out it has a blown head gasket. the person said they bought the car at auction and it had a "greenlight guarantee" on the drive train.

they dont know what this means but they are trying to look into it for me.

does it mean they will buy the car back or will it be repaired for free or cheaper than it should cost. does anyone know? please help!

I cannot find a fuse that is blown. Headlights, emergency flashers and blinkers work as well as brake lights. I know those lights are the same bulbs as the marker and tail lights, so what gives? I need to get this fixed before this weekend because I am traveling for the hoidays.

I'm terrible with geography.

I tried to find my brother in Omaha, New Jersey, and sepnt the whole summer just lookin' for Omaha. Turns out, it's in Nebraska! I knew the State's name started with an "Ne," anyhow.

Next year I'm goin to the Statue of Eiffel. I think it's on Fire Island, in the middle of Hudon's Bay.

Just figured out how to check my brake fluid in my car. It's completely empty (no wonder my brakes were off...) It's used, so I have no clue where the manual is. Does anyone know what kind of brake fluid should be going into this particular model?

And should I fill it to the max line, or fill it half way, run the car a bit. Then let my car cool off and put in more?

I took my vehicle to CARX for a free inspection. I was hearing some crazy click noise.he said it was CV joint. He cannot fix it until tomorrow. but now, since he inspect it it sounds worse. it sounds like a piece of tin rubbing against the wheel. very sharp sqeaking. any ideas what this could be and how much am i looking to pay?

I have been having trouble with my 97 Chevy Cavalier starting. It has been about two months since it started acting up. Basically on occasion the car wouldn't start. I took it to a mechanic and he charged me a ton and couldn't figure it out because it wouldn't act up, so he replaced the battery.

Anyway... I thought it was the neutral safety switch (or clutch sensor, since it is a five-speed) but now not sure... it is still acting up.

Symptom is getting worse, basically it won't start ... I walk home or fetch a ride and try it some hours later and it starts up.

Some people think it is the starter or starter solenoid. My main question is, if these are going bad do they act like this? Sometimes work and then sometimes don't? I always thought they were either good or just failed and that was pretty much it.

Next question is how hard is it to replace these? Any information would be great! Thanks.

I got in a car accident and I do not want to take my car to a crappy shop for my bumper to be fixed. It will be around $1,000 at my place of choice but I'm nervous the insurance company will low ball me. Can I negotiate with them?
