I would say the pontiac but its hard to tell just based on the car

the Focus is new so the motor is new too, and has more life in it....

Also depends on the conditions, driver, auto/stick?, tire spin, etc?

I know Pontiac does make their cars pretty heavy so you may have more weight to pull too...

It could go either way...

I'll tell ya - i had a 95 GA with the 3.1 V6, and sure - you have sure power (win..) over a 2.0 4 cyl, but when you're done you'll have a leaky motor, bad front end, and a shot transaxle not to mention tweaked motor mounts...

If you are the driver of the Pontiac Grand and Lewis Hamilton is the driver of the Ford Focus, of course Lewis Hamilton and the Ford will win the race. :) :) So, all depends on who the driver is also.

I got a 94 Cavalier 3.1 V-6 and it has 20hp more than the 97 and your 90hp wont even keep up to the 140hp he has.
I just read the focus has 140hp....wow

I would say the Grand Am would win the race. If you really wanted to race him though, get something with more performance such as a Firebird or GTO.

A lot of it depends on the gearing and how long the race is. I like the Focus in this race though.

Whats your point? Both car's are FAR from performance vehicles. This is about the same as asking which paint dries faster red or black? Who cares!
