Well the battery or lack of one on the B&S lawnmower engine has nothing at all to do with the ignition's output power. I hate to get sparked at all, but I would rather take the briggs and stratton shock than the high volt jolt of any of the new automotive high energy ignition systems out there!

Most modern ignitition systems run about 60,000 volts. A lawnmower would be doing well to get 18,000 at the plug. Any clown who thinks a spark plug gets 12v becouse the battery is 12v should be answering in another forum.

They would hurt equally both 12 volt batteries.

If the battery is a 12v on either application, it should be the same. :o)
