It's fastened to the back of the throttle body with 2 torx head screws. Dodge says disconnect the battery first,replace the idle motor, connect the battery, and start the truck and put in drive with the park brake on and let idle for 5 minutes with the AC off for it to as simulate it's self with the engine controller. I always did, but the other guys didn't and none of them had any problem so that's up to you.

it normally goes right where the throttle body is my source is a picture of what it looks like. also on the throttle body it should be one of two items that have electrical wiring going to it the other being the throttle position sensor
