can some one tell me the diferent motors the 89-97 have?
i have a 97 thunderbird lx with the 3.8 v6 automatic...
just wondering what my optoions are if i decide to start adding hp! or a complete swap.
im quite new to fords. i only know about the 5.0 and 4.6

It'll start most time. Sometimes after running I will go to start it back up and it sounds like a dead battery. Let it sit for awhile and will start back up and run fine.

I just recently bought a 2003 ford mustang gt and the dealer said it took premium. However i read on the internet that it took regular unleaded. That would greatly help my wallet if it did. Anyone know? Thanks.

The mustang says 300 to 0 in 12ft. (WTF)
The old Kitt says 0 to 60 in 0.2 sec. (WTF)

I just replaced my Head gaskets and I am reassembling the engine. The shop that reconditioned
the heads said the rocker arms are not adjustable and I just need to install the heads. A buddy of mine insists that they need to be adjusted after the install to tighten any that may be tapping.
I am familiar with adjusting them while the engine is running, but my buddy insists there is a way to adjust
them while it is not running! He is strictly a Chevy guy and said he bought a Chevy shop manual that had all the specifications. Anyone familiar with this process?
The engine has hydraulic lifters(I think) and I am using the original push rods in the exact locations.

im about to get a 88 ford f 250 diesel for free,the guy told my dad that it wont crank over,it tries but it cant,my dad thinks that the batterie is old,but that guy sad that it is a new batterie ,i dont know, but the car was outside for like 6 month because the guy didnt know wahts wrong with it.

its a 1999 3.8 mustang,it has a k&n cai,flowmaster 40's,pypes o/r x-pipe,20in wheels,drag radials,120 thermostat,screamin demon coil,high performance plugs andd wires. which would be best in your opinion 3:73 or 4:10 with t-loc diff, whats my estimated top speed and how easy will it spin the tires without the brake making a turn

I need a SUV for around 25k dollars (used) but is decent on gas,reliable, and has offroading capabilities --Im not talking about rock crawling. Just going around on dirt roads, mud, foot deep water stuff like that (romping) I was looking at a ford Explorer, but I am not sure. Any Sugestions....

It is a 2000 F150 4x4 4.2 with air conditioning and is a standard shift.I need to know how to determine how many amps it is.There are few different ones out there and I don't have the original owners manual.I just got laid off so I need to do this repair my self what can I use to move the tensioner back so I can change this?I also have a leak in the back window, how do I get at the gasket. I see small plastic caps on the inside of the cab covering nuts,do I have to remove them to take the outside plastic frame off and will the glass stay in place if I do? Thanks for any help.

it cranks over great it has new fuel filter and good pressure at the fuel rail, it has spark on all 8 wires and all 8 plugs, the injectors are fireing what is the problem
