If you have any clips of any pumas or any information about them, that will be great.
Thanks

A Puma is not a good starter car. At 17 the major consideration is the insurance. A 1.4 engine will push the insurance right up. Look at something 1.0. Yes it'sslow and boring but get some NCD before you consider anything else.

Since when is 0-60 in 8.8 seconds and a top speed of 128 MPH considered fast? Beats walking I guess. I suppose it's pretty quick by euro ecomony car standards, but it's pretty slow overall.

I owned two 1.7's and found they were nippy and fun to drive, rather than being fast. My only criticism of them was the inadequate braking and certainly I believe they required discs all round.

Not really, but it wasnt meant to be.
The Puma was the little sister the to the Ford Cougar and followed the same principles.
Both emphasized handling over power. It can be modified into a fast car, but when stock it is all about fun driving it and maneuverability rather than straight line acceleration.

Was going to answer this seriously...then I saw your edit.
128 mph, 0-60 in 8.8 seconds, according to Ford, so all you'd see of my Alfa would be its tail lights disappearing into the distance!
What are you doing driving a girl's car anyway?

Not really, but then I guess it depends what you're comparing it to.
I've had the misfortune to drive a Puma and my Volvo 1.9D is faster ...
