The car is an 89 chevrolet cavalier 2.8 multi-port fuel injection system. It has a new fuel pump, new coil module, and is not getting fuel to run. Fuel pump pressure is good, when car sets for awhile it will try to crank. The car has went from running great to stalling while running down the road. The problem has gotten worse to the point where if it sets overnight, pressure seems to be getting enough vapor to allow the car to fire one time. Using started fluid or dumping fuel directly into the throttle control will make the car try to crank, but as soon as it runs out, it refuses to crank. So I've come to the conclusion that it's a fuel injector problem. I just need to know how to check and see if they're getting fire. Any other suggestions to what may be wrong are welcome.

The car started just fine, as always, after she backed out of the driveway it died, and it won't start. It turns over just fine, and sounds like it is just not getting the fuel. I don't know fuel injection engines like the old carborator ones, so I am at a loss. I let sit , still the same it starts to fire, then just turns over. Put the pedal to the floor in case it's flooded, and nothing. Wait a minute and try to start, it turns over and without the foot on the pedal "starts" to fire but acts like not getting fuel. Press foot on accelorator, and the same thing. Can someone give me suggestions on what the problem might be please. V6 Fuel Injected.

I'm thinking of buying a 2002 Hyundai Sonata, except the engine already has 102,000 miles on it. I'm tied up for money and the vehicle itself looks nice. I'm just curious to know how many miles these (not sure if it's 4 or 6 cyl on this model) engines usually live up to? Thanks!

okay I went to auto zone today to get a code read. the good news is it isnt saying o2 sensor any more it is now saying too lean bank 1..... any ideas. also I can hear a hissing sound coming from the back of the engine like a vacuum leak but I be damned if I can find it..

It's an automatic 93 honda civic. When the gears shift I can feel it jerk the body of the car back and it sort of gives me whip-lash. And sometimes when trying to get the car up to speed it acts like it just won't go. Like it stays at the low speed while I'm accelerating and then it finally jumps up to speed and the car jerks again. We've already changed the fuel filter, so that must not have been it. Is this a common issue with 93 honda civics? Could it be the transmission?

me and my colleges at work were talking about tryes for cars and just how much they cost, when someone said she had nitrogen in her tyres to make them more effeciant. but none of us had herd of this and all thought that nitrogen was highly explosive! does anyone no anything about this and does anyone no a link or web page to back up the information please. many thanks ben.

My wife was involved in an accident a few weeks ago and the car has been written off. I have been paid the amount agreed with the insurance company but as the vehicle has a personalised registration I would like to know if it is possible to sell it.I still have the car at my premises and have been made an offer . The plate has no connections with myself or wife as I bought the car with the plate on it.

the car is mercedes 1991 350sdl and i have never before had trouble starting it save for a few very cold days back in winter.

I go to turn on my car to drive to work - its a diesel so i turn it halfway, the glow light comes on, and when it goes off i turn the key the rest of the way- nothing happens - no sound no stalling or anything, just completely silent. I tried about 15 times same thing happens.

My gas is pretty low but that should have nothing to do with starting the car. I hadn't left the lights or anything on all night. I checked my lights and radio still work so that makes me question whether its the battery in the first place?

Nothings changed between last night and now what could it be??

I have one of those jumpstarting/car battery charging machines but I dont want to use it if the battery is the problem.

Only other thing i could think of is a loose connection or something - but why would this happen all of the sudden now?

I have a 1980 honda twinstar cm200. It's stuck in a gas station parking lot because it died, I dont know why! It will start up but wont idle with out the choke. Unless I start riding it but then it just dies again after a while. It's leaking from a tube under the bike I'm not sure what it's called I think maybe breather tube though not for the battery. Also it makes a scary clunking sound when I shift into first gear. I just had the carburetor cleaned well, and the battery replaced. Dose anyone have an idea of what could be going on? I need to figure it out soon, I'm worried it will get towed or worse stolen! Any help would be great. Thank you!
