okay I went to auto zone today to get a code read. the good news is it isnt saying o2 sensor any more it is now saying too lean bank 1..... any ideas. also I can hear a hissing sound coming from the back of the engine like a vacuum leak but I be damned if I can find it..

I already changed the o2 sensor on the driver side... now it is saying the too elan is on the bank 1 is that the passenger side???

yeah, that points to vacuum leak alright, it is under the break booster, its about a 1/4 inch hose, you'll find it if you look hard enough, the thing is, it may not be all the way off and thats why its hard to spot.
If the hose doesnt solve your problem than you have to change the O2 sensor.
