I took it to the mechanic and he almost immediately noticed the water pump was leaking. He replaced the water pump but that wasn't the problem...

There's no problem if I drive from place to place but if I allow my Jeep to idle, it never fails to over heat. This is a problem because I use it to deliver newspapers in the morning with lots of stop and go and idle time between houses (having to run up to houses and back to the car). Turning off the car and restarting it between stops isn't practical.

Anybody else have the same problem? HELP!

I'll be selling my car because im moving and I'm afraid I'm going to have a hard time selling my car because the check engine light is on. It's been on for several months but the car runs great. I've researched and it seems that many old and even newer corollas have problems with the check engine light always turning on even if the car runs fine and even after its been checked and diagnosed. Any suggestions on how to turn it off?

I have an '81 honda cb400. The bike is low on power until it hits about 6000rpm then there's plenty of power. Will adjusting the idle jet on the carbs increase the low rpm power? Could there be a compression problem or would that rob power at all rpm? Does timing affect power differently at different rpm? Any other thoughts on what might be at the root of the low power?

i have a 5 speed and is it normal that when im movin forward at like 5 mph and i try to put it in reverse my gears grind? i only can put it in reverse without a grind if im at a complete stop. if ur not supposed to put it in reverse while moving forward and thats why it grinds then why when im moving in reverse at like 5mph or even like 10 mph i can put it in first without any grinding?

i filled up yesterday, and a light came on that said 'O/D OFF'
now that light went away, and the check engine light came on, and stayed on for a while, then started blinking
it may have something to do with the gas cap but i dont kno, i checked the oil, and radiator fluid, engine sounds and runs fine, it may be something else minor,

When ever i put the volume to the max on the side of the player, it gets louder but not loud enough. I tried using headphones instead of the built in speakers, but the volume still did no get loud enough. Can I buy some kind of small cheap amp to amplify the sound into my headphones? Help would be much appreciated.

A about a year ago, the left lights on the dashboard went out. Slowly the problem got worse. Tonight most of the interior dash lights were out or really dim and the battery gauge was reading very low. The vehicle starts and doesnt seem to change when driving. The interior lights run off the aux are just fine, only low when the truck is on. Could be the alternator, but I am wondering if its a fuse issue or short, any thoughts?

I am curious what the difference is because i want a deeper, louder, throatier sound with my exhaust yet a full exhaust system is about 800 dollars where as new mufflers are only about 200. Im thinking about buying a 1997 4 door 4x4 chevrolet blazer and a cheap price but there is something wrong with the head it might be the head gasket or a cracked head but i think i will need to replace the head or heads, but i need to know how much it would cost to buy new heads or a head gasket and how much it would cost to get it repaird at a repair shop

I have Chevy 355 w/ a quadrajet carb. I've been told that some of my vacuums & back barrels arn't working. I have and edelbrock 600cfm getting shipped to me but just out of curiosity how much more power do you think I can get from the new carb compared to the carb w/ the broken back barrels? How do I check if the back barrels are actually opening all the way when im at WOT?
