keep your foot on the clutch lol just kidding, I have a renault scenic and they are the worst cars ever for things going wrong, plus when they go wrong it's never just a cheap repair, I would go to the garage with your car get them to give it a good once over, it could be a sensor problem, mine never used to start at all I had to stick my hand in the engine and wiggle the sensor,

If I could I would get rid of this car but can't afford at the moment (if you can though get rid now).

Could well be to do with the air-flow meter. I had a similar problem on a scenic a year or so ago. Bad news, if it is, though: very costly.

I had this problem. It was fixed by a change of filter in the fuel line. Note the idle speed and changeover to power from idle are hard wired in the control unit and cannot be adjusted. You may have to alter your clutch technique if you can't resolve it any other way

It could be dirty petrol
or one of the coils breaking
down,it should tick over at
approx. 750 rpm but if coil
is breaking down it will alter this
resulting in erratic tick over
and stall..
