I need to know where I can find the throttle position sensor on my 1997 Nissan altima. It runs good has LOTS of miles but it cuts off on me constantly.

The most likely cause of your cuts off is! Oil inside the distributor. You can remove the three distributor cap bolts and the 8mm bolt holding the rotor on now look take off three small philips headed bolts holding the black plastic ingnition cover. wash all the oil out with lots of brake cleaner and reinstall above parts. When you get to the distributor cap leave off the distributor cap rubber seal. That way future oil will drain out onto the transmission. Throttle posistion sensor won't cause the car to stall. Just run and shift funny. TPS is on back of the throttle chamber other side of where the throttle cables hook.

Best bet is to call as many of your local auto parts stores..."shop around"

Write down the prices from the different stores and find out the availability of your part.

Or you can try this site,-{rockauto.com}, i shop there for all my needs and have found it to be cheaper than most local stores.

Best wishes!
