Hey, as shown in the following picture i need to reconnect a metal wire bit to a metal plate. It used to be welded but came undone. Is there any other way to reconnect it efficiently that doesnt involve welding. Ive allready tried blue tac with little success. thanks

I have a piece of HNBR rubber that I want to cut to size, accuracy should be within 0.05 of an inch, and I have no sophisticated tools. Any mistake could mean excessive leakage.

I have a 1974 Chevy ElCamino and recently a section of wire running along the firewall shorted out and appeared burned. I have been told two things. One ,that the El Caminos had a problem with these links and two, that there is a short somewhere in the electrical system that caused the link to melt. Now, short of tearing all the wiring out of the car, is there a way to find out what caused the short? So much of the wiring is wrapped up and in protective sleeves, I would hope to be able to diagnose at least part of the root cause without trying to unwrap it all.
I found the link burned after the car just "died". I found a section of the protective wire wrap melted and bulging out along the firewall. It had knocked out all power from the battery. No lights, horn, accessories etc.
But just replacing the link is not enough. There must be a root cause and I don't feel like being stranded again. So I figure that if it knocked out all the electrical, it must be a major circuit, right? HELP!!!

I see bad tint jobs all the time, with the bubbles and whatnot. I am very meticulous and willing to spend some time on it.
If I take my time, can I do a professional-like job or will you be able to tell I did it?
Heard using soapy water makes it easier, too....is this true?

Thank you.

People are liable, not vehicles. One liability policy should cover the driver of all of his vehicles.

I have a 15 foot fiberglass boat, with the floor and supports removed because of rot (the fiberglass stringers running the length of the boat are there), but I didnt remove it so I dont know if there was foam, what kind, and what the supports were made of. Can somebody give me the steps for this project? thanks

I've also smelled what seems to be burning plastic in my interior. I popped the hood and everything was fine smell wise, and even gave the exhaust a sniff, also fine. I've had issues with my blower motor, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's the source of the smell.
For the record, it's a 00 Old's Alero.

I'm assuming its clearer to listen to, but do you get additional radio stations compared to a regular radio? And does it have a monthly fee like satellite radio?

I'm looking into buying a 2002 Hyundai Sonata. It's automatic transmission and four cylinder. I'm just curious to know what owners are getting for gas mileage? Thanks!
