my 1999 f 150 was running good , i thought the starter was bad because it slipped a few times over the winter but that problem seemed to go away until the other day when i went to start it and as it was turning over there was a "crunch" and then the starter just clicked , i replaced the starter with a new one and that didnt help , i can still turn the crank by hand but i dont think i can get a full reveloution of the engine , if i turn the engine a bit by hand it will start to wind with starter then and then "crunch " again , i didnt see any missing teeth or cracks in the flywheel when i had the starter out but did not get a full look at the flywheel anyone have any trouble shooting tips for me ? before i waste more money ! could the timming have jumped and piston be at top dead center hitting a valve ?

Please help anyone !

What are the best type of winter tires for a sports car/coupe/etc. (I'm a hopeful future sports car owner, currently looking)

I have no specific car type for these type of tires. And I don't have any specific tire price, I can go the lowest prices to the highest.
I live in the lower northeastern suburbs of Chicago were we get slapped with harsh inches of snow time to time. But I see some sports cars now n' days with winter tires and they slice through the snow and ice like nothing.

Any answers, suggestions?

i'm having a hell of a time finding these statistics for my brother. i'm a little concerned about his drinking and fear he may drink and drive. when i told him "i don't really care of you drink, just don't drink and drive" he challenged me, saying "bah, i'd really like to see the statistics of alcohol related car accidents vs. car accidents caused by sober people. i bet alcohol-related accidents are just a tiny little percentage... most accidents are just caused by people being stupid." all i've been able to find is that in 2005 39% of all fatalities were alcohol-related... but i'd really like to find the percentage of ALL car accidents caused by alcohol, including non-fatalities. can anyone help me? point me in the right direction? anyone know it off-hand? thanks guys :)

I was rear-ended by a drunk driver 3 months ago on my way to school. This was the guys second DUI, and drugs were involved. I was stopped at a red light, and he knocked me thru the intersection. I was taken by ambulance to the hospital, and had to return the next day due to pain. Since then, I have had several sets of x-rays, a MRI, numerous chiropractor visits, and numerous meds (pain and muscle spasms) My medical bills are over $9000.00. I have had terrible headaches, muscle spasms, stiffness, loss of sleep, loss of concentration, missed work and school, dizziness, tissue damage, and whiplash. The natural curve in my neck is now gone. With over 9000. in medical bills, how much pain and suffering should I expect from his insurance? The state is Kentucky, and he was insured through Nationwide Insurance. I also went 2 weeks without a car, and they didn't offer a rental. They told me they weren't responsible. Any suggestions?

Bike needs nothing and has less than 12,000 miles on it. I of course will have someone check the bike out to confirm that nothing is wrong. I offered him $1,000 if the bike is in perfect condition. I think I will get the deal. Is this a fair price? I never rode a bike before but let me say this, THIS BIKE WILL ONLY BE USED IN THE PARKING LOT! I know a lot of people say get a 250cc. But I know a lot of people who started out with 600cc and are fine. This year I only plan to use this bike for practice out of the streets unless I get really good with it before summer is over. With that said, what do you guys think? How much would you pay for this bike personally?

I have been looking at a Hyundai Tiburon GS very seriously and may be purchasing one in the next few days. If anyone who owns one of these cars could tell me anything about their experience with these cars, I would greatly appreciate it. Please include how long you have owned the car.

The other day while idling at a stop light on my aptly-named crotch rocket, I realized that if the light stayed red long enough, I could ahem.

That got me wondering - would anyone actually want to? While riding your own bike or even as a passenger?

Sounds funny I know "No thank you, I'll pass on the orgasm," but really - the last place I want to lose focus and then require a nap is on the bike!

115k miles

The following two paragraphs are from an ad:

"The car is in working condition and also passed inspection about two weeks ago. The outside is free of dents and only has about two little dings. There are a few rust spots (pictures will be provided upon request), but nothing out of the ordinary considering its age. The inside requires some TLC. A previous owner attempted to restore the interior, but it was never completed. We purchased it with the hopes of restoring it, but a recent move to another state and new business owners...we can't take on the project.

I replaced the oil pump and all the valve seals last summer. The previous owner rebuilt the engine in 2001. The car is in working condition, however, keep in mind it is an antique."

Here are pictures from the ad:

Now, I have two questions:

1. How much would you pay for this car?
2. From what you can see, how much would a simple restore cost?
