Yes, but wouldn't advise it. Its expensive. If you currently have comp, and coll on another veh that cover will carry over to the new one until you contact your agent to add it to your policy. If your currently uninsured find a company that is cheap, and give them the vin, and they can start insurance up right away. Dealership insurance is expensive.

You probably can, but that is a TERRIBLE idea! They'll gladly place you with their choice of overpriced carriers (pocketing a kickback, of course) and add the premium to your note. You'll pay for that first 6 or 12 months of coverage for the life of the loan. When the policy expires, you'll then have to start paying for it separately at each renewal term.

Be smart. Call around or search on the web for the best deal you can find. Keep your insurance separate from your car payment.

I made that mistake of letting my salesman price the insurance for me with my first new car many, many years ago. (it was an expensive lesson to learn!) He told me it'd be $205 for six months. After I signed the papers and bought the car, it turned out it was $205 down to get the coverage started, but an additional $225/month! Had I known that I would not have bought the car. I had to take an extra part-time job at age 18 just to insure the car!

My philosophy: Never do your banking thru your insurance company, and never buy insurance thru your bank.

You can if you are rich and can afford it. You might as well just go ahead and burn your money. Find an insurance company to get your insurance from. If you can't find one where you live, check on the Internet. State Farm and Erie have always been good to me. I would recommend them to anyone.
