Gets towed to most likely the impound yard first so that insurance companies can look at the vehicle. Then it goes to a salvage yard where depending on the damage, its parted out or is sent straight to the car crusher, this is all done after the family recovers any belongings left in the vehicle that weren't scattered all over the accident scene.

once the psychics, mediums, and priests get done cleansing the car, they go to junk yard, or to auction.
occasionally, a witch doctor or voodoo priest might be called in to do a thourough cleansing, this is referred to as a 'phantismic detail'.
