if you were born in 1992, you could get your permit soon i thinkk. you can take your drivers ed now, and when you are 15 in a half take your permit test, have your permit for six months and have your licence when your 16.

You can get your permit when you are 15 years of age. I recommend taking the written test to get your permit instead of doing the waiver. Do this about 6 months before you start drivers ed so that you can get your license right away because you have had your permit for 6 months. Then when you are going to get your license you will have already finished the written and will be able to get it the day you turn 16. That's what I did and everyone thought I was really cool because I had my license and permit before everybody else.

16 to get your license; 15-1/2 to get your permit.
You may also get a motorcycle permit at 15-1/2 but, of course, have to pass the tests. No one as a passenger on the bike.
At age 16, with the provisional license, you cannot have anyone in the car under the age of 25; with a 25-year-old licensed driver as a passenger, you may drive with other passengers under the age of 25 in the vehicle. Don't know about 16-year-olds and motorcycle licenses, tho.

Ages vary by state;

Here in Illinois, you can be any age to get an ID card.
You must be 15 to get a driver permit.
After all requirements have been completed and approved, you get your license about 3-6 months after you complete your permit, or when you turn 16... Which ever comes first...

For info, simply go to the State or Rep and try to select links to direct you to that information. Or just us Google.

It all depends on the law of the state where you live. Most of the States allow for 16 years old, that is after some REQUIRED driving class hours. Check your State's DMV website for more info.
