On my way to work on Friday, I was driving down the Interstate when suddenly I could no longer give my car gas. I rolled to a stop on the side of the road and briefly lost power. I was finally able to get power back, but could not get the car to turn over. We then tried jumping the car, and could only get it to take fuel if I floored the gas (and then it didn't take it for very long). It was towed to the place I bought the car, and they have given me two possibilities: my oil pump (ouchie in price) or worse my engine (scary!). Does anyone know if they might be right or do you think they're just screwing me around. I really don't trust mechanics at auto dealerships.

The dealerships and instant oil changes all want between $129 and $149 to recharge the freon in my car air conditioner. That is sad. I am in the Syracuse, NY region. There must be someone locally who is willing to do it for less.

We have a 1996 Dodge Intrepid. The horn and speakers are not working. We have tried to replace one of the fuses twive now and it sparked when we put the new one in. Any ideas, tips, etc.?

Is it possible for a car (front) windshield to shatter in a "million" pieces or does it only brake in bigger pieces? I'm not only talking about smaller accidents, i'm talking about from HUGE accidents or even bombings? I'm just trying to settle a bet with a friend.

The truck is a 1993 Ford F-150 4X4. Its only got 76,000 miles. I have checked fuses and relays and I cant find anything. I got one of those trailer pigtails you plug into your truck and it worked fine but know my running lights in the front and back will not work along with my instrument lights. I unplugged the pigtail and they still dont work. WTF??

I have a 94 chevy astro van...coming home one day the speedometer stopped working and the transmission would not go into 3rd gear and transmission fluid was leaking all under the van. We changed the speed sensor, filter, and gasket. It did not seem to fix the issue so we took it to have a mechanic look at it. He took off the speed sensor to check it and put it back stating that there was to much fluid in there and that the 3rd gear has gone out and that we needed to get a used one and replace it. We bought the used transmission and then drove it up to his shop today to be waitting on him on Monday. The transmission was shifting fine and the speedometer is also working properly. I need some advice on what to do...Go ahead and put the used transmission in or no? Does it sound like we fixed the issue? Please someone help with some advice.
