ALL the other countries? There are over 250 countries in the World and maybe in 10 or 15 they drive on the left side and have a driver on the right.
10 or 15 out of over 250 is hardly ALL OTHER countries.
Why some countries do it "not the American way?"
OK, in the old days in England, where the streets were (and still are) very narrow, people used to walk on the left side so (if you can believe it) they could not bang each others weapons, which normally hang on the left side of their bodies. When they started driving, they kept the tradition. Some other countries followed England's way.
In America, where there are more open space, people drove horse driven carriages on the right in order not to hit a carriage coming towards them with their whips (most people hold a whip in their right hand.)

Uh...no. ALL the other countries are NOT on the right. Mainly just the England empire, or most of it's former colonies, with Japan being the exception (right hand drive).
