I am assuming your seat is upholstered and not leather so: trim and remove any burnt fibres with small scissors then gently rub the mark with a fine sandpaper and washing up liquid and leave for a few minutes. Use some vanish soap or liquid with some warm water and sponge the stain - hopefully that gets rid of the brownish mark and loosen up the fibres of the seat.

For the hole (assuming again there is one and its not too large) arm yourself with a fine needle and thread and try to pull the fibres of the fabric together and darn away till the hole is filled, alternatively you could always look up an upholster in the yellow pages and pay someone to fix it for you - they should be able to do this 'invisibly' so that no one need ever know of your mishap!

Yes it can be repaired using cotton of the same colour! I don't expect you to do it though! I have seen it done professionally and it is done in such a way that it is very hard to spot. £30 it costs I think, and takes quite a while to do. There are 10000000's of colours of fibres and the trick is to get the exact match, this is what a professional a repairer can do.

Depending on the severity of the damage, and the material, it may be able to be repaired, or the panel may need to be replaced! Check with a local used car dealer to see who they have do their minor upholstery repair.

If you are in the DC area e-mail me and I will give you contact info on the person I use!!!
