The car is an 89 chevrolet cavalier 2.8 multi-port fuel injection system. It has a new fuel pump, new coil module, and is not getting fuel to run. Fuel pump pressure is good, when car sets for awhile it will try to crank. The car has went from running great to stalling while running down the road. The problem has gotten worse to the point where if it sets overnight, pressure seems to be getting enough vapor to allow the car to fire one time. Using started fluid or dumping fuel directly into the throttle control will make the car try to crank, but as soon as it runs out, it refuses to crank. So I've come to the conclusion that it's a fuel injector problem. I just need to know how to check and see if they're getting fire. Any other suggestions to what may be wrong are welcome.

The injector is a cellonoid switch that has wires plugged into it. When an electircal pulse is sent to it, it opens, which allows gas thats pressured from the fuel rain to squirt through the injector. The electrical signals that supplyl voltage to all 6 injectors gets fire/ a current from somewhere. Fuel pump has been replaced, fuel pump pressure is normal, filter is clean, pressure regulator is holding steady at 43 lbs. Overnight it will hold to 15 lbs. Spark plugs fire is excellent. No fuel is getting through the injectors, possible because of no current operating them. I thought the voltage that works the injectors comes from the ingnition control module. This has been replaced. To check voltage at each injector, wire connectors for voltage, what is the procedure?

To me, it sounds like your crank signal is going away. If the vehicles computer looses crank signal the first thing to go is fuel delivery. In this case fuel injectors. The crank sensor is located in the back of the block and can be checked with a DVOM, scan Tool or by sombody who knows what their doing. That would be me. A lot of times the crank sensors fail when they get hot and cause intermittant stall/no-start. Then it's just a matter of time before it wont start at all.

sounds like you've pretty much done everything to solve this problem, the easiest way to check if your getting fuel is to disconnect the spark leads crank the engine a few times then pull the plugs out and check for moisture sniff and smell the fuel on them if theres none then either the injectors are blocked or the fuel rail is blocked, this can be caused by the scale build up in the rail, there are products that can be added to the fuel that will prevent this from happening in the future , but if thats your problem now its a strip down and clean out. to service the injectors you'll need to take them to a professional cause you need specialist equipment for that. hope this helps good luck. Ck and or replace fuel filter first.
You need to make sure the fuel pressure is OK with pressure gauges as there is a place to tap in..
as this sounds like you have a lack of fuel to me.

If all of what you check is fine as you say the only thing to check is the injector circuit with a NOID light.

A" Noid light " will test injector pulse.Change fuel filter and correct all vacuum hose leaks under the hood and make sure the fuel pump is properly grounded and I believe she will be healed.

Install new fuel filter and check your fuel pressure regulator. Remove the vacuum to it. If gas spurts out, it is bad. Most engines have circuits. They also will shut down the fuel pump if there is no spark. The fuel pump rquires a sprak signal to continue working. Check the igntion. If there is NO spark, there will be NO fuel pump energization.

first thing is change the gas filter, then check to see if theres vaccum at the fuel pump regulator.if your not getting fuel to the injectors then it has to be 1 of the followings, like fuel pump pressure and voluum, gas filter, fuel pump regulator,or the rail is stopped up.when you checked the fuel pump, did you check for voluum as well as pressure, you can have pressure, without voluum, but you need both to get to the injectors.

there is no spark to a fuel injector if your getting pressure from the pump you have one or two things passably wrong one fuel injectors our stopped up two fuel rail is stopped up hope this helps

sounds like a bad crank sensor or cam sensor to me. if you have a scan tool you can watch the datastream to see if either see an rpm signal if the do not you wont get injector pulse because thats how the pcm controls pulse.

if you want to check for spark at the plugs, you can put a spark tester on it or just put it close to the engine block and look for sparking, if no spark, than it is the coil, which you just replaced... but, that doesnt sound like the problem, sounds like a plugged fuel filter..

Get the mass airflow sensor checked. Had a few of them go without notice.
