Usuallt they are just threaded in and you just throw a wrench on it and turn, it breaks or strips most of the time, some times they are welded on and you have to cut them off... either way, you'll be modding it to seal the hole thats left behind, I would suggest either a large bolt or tack welding a small piece of metal, also be sure to rid it of any sensors that work of the tubes, I hope you change out the ECU too, cause thats gonna be giving you check engine codes.

There are 3 cheap, fast ways to do this.

1. Pull the tube off, and cut it off about 3 inches from each end. Heat the ends of the tube and flatten it, fold it over, and flatten it again, then reinstall to plug the hole.

2. Pull the tube off, cut it a couple of inches from each end, and drive a bolt into it and weld it in place, then reinstall to plug hole.

3. Buy a couple of plugs that fit the threaded hole, cover them with red Loctite, and put them in.

Are you sure it's not a coolant bypass pipe?
