Tattoos - April 2007

I feel both ways on this one. I love that it's bring tattoos to a new audience. But, I feel it's making the art a little too "main stream". Everyone wants to hear a deep personal meaning behind each of my tattoos now. What do you guys think?

they are generally catagorized as having a "tat" and being a "snake!" why is that? why are girls/ladies supposed to be free from them?

I'm 24 and I work in a professional field. I've wanted this tattoo for over a year, so I have really thought about it. The head of my company doesn't have a problem with me getting a tat around my wrist, but other's think it could hurt my career and/or they just don't like the idea of visible tattoos. I really want this..but over the past week, I have let others affect my train of thought, including my religious mother, who hates that i'm doing this. So I don't know if i'm just really nervous or if i'm starting to doubt my decision.

i have a ton of scars on my arms from cutting myself, one arm i way worse then the other...lets say i get some tattoos done, maybe a sleeve..first off, would it be possible? and how well would it cover them up?

I was going to get a rather large japanese back piece done in black and white and was telling a friend of mines who has a sleeve in color. He's Puerto Rican and so am i only im a bit darker more of a caramel and he said that i could get my whole back tatted white and then the tattoo i wanted and the color and it would show up brighter. My friend did it when I was 14 and drunk, biggest mistake of my life! It is the word 'Ganja' in a love heart with a halo on and it is really artistically bad. Very embarrassing especially now my wild teen years are behind me and I have 2 children to bring up!

What are my options for getting rid of it or hiding it? I dread summer coming because I know people will look at it and assume I am some druggie mum which I am definitely not.
