I want to get the four card suits (heart, diamond, club, spade) on the top/side of my foot, each shape only being about a square cm.

I guess I should have mentioned this will be my 8th tattoo, lol. I just didn't know if someone had one and it was extra because of the location or something. I got 100$ so that should definatley AT LEAST cover the outlines.

Most tattooists charge for tattooing by the size of the tattoo and what ink you want, coloured, black, outlined etc. I've never met one who charged for location as location isn't important, it's the size of the tat and amount of ink it's going to take them to do it. As your's will only be 4cm square or about that, it shouldn't cost you a whole pile of cash. Draw up a rough idea of what you want about the size you're after and take it too a couple of tattoo artists to get some prices. Even if your pic is only rough, a good artist will be able to draw you up a sketch based on it and tell you how much it will cost you, don't go for the first price you get, hunt around before you commit.
Good luck.

I just wanted to say that it's not a dumb question to wonder about price per location. The tattoo studio I use charges 20% extra for chest work because it's a hard location to work on, especially on women. So, you are not in the totally wrong frame of mind here.
I would suggest though, enlarging your diameters for your tat. I just don't think a cm is going to be enough to work with. But, talk to your artist. If he's a really light touch he might be able to do the small detail required. Please though, make sure it's an artist you trust. I always go to the same studio but I used a new artist for my third tattoo. He assured me he could do the detail I needed and now I have a messed up tattoo.

i have never heard of a tattoos price being based on location. my artist charges by the hour, some charge by size and some by difficulty. it's hard to say but i wouldn't think that they'd cost that much. a square cm is not very big at all.

Your best bet would be to go to a tattoo studio and speak with the artist. You would prob have to get it bigger than a centimeter however because that is too small and I am assuming that you want your design to remain sharp looking.

Yes it hurts, I have a tattoo on my right foot.
It was worth the pain and it only cost me $50.
Hope this helps.

Why?! Its suppose to hurt when its close to the bone you know? I had a cousin that had one put on his ankle & he said it hurt a lot, but he was drunk when he did it.
