the coolest ive seen is that of a mate of mine.....she has the back of a mouse wit its long tail tattooed on her 'lower' back....so i looks like a mouse is going in the 'hole'!!!!!
its cute & discreet!!!!!!(well...not anymore now that i have spoken about it!!!!)))

I have seen some excellent tattoos over the years, probally too many to mentioned. I have 5 the newest is of a star with 3 shooting stars coming of the main one, this is on the base of my stomach. I am proud of it as one of the tattoists at Miami Ink created it for me so I know no-one has it as he gave me the proof of drawing, this is the best tattoo I have it's amazing with the colours integrating in to two different colours. It is quite hard to explain.

Sediq, or Truku, women traditionally had a band tatooed from their ears across their cheeks and around their mouths. The tattoo is awarded to girls competent at weaving and was therefore a coming of age event and a sign of Truku identity. They don't do it anymore, but I've seen photographs of young women with this tattoo and it looks very striking because it is prominent, unmissable and proud. It is also very sexy to a man.

The best tattoo I've ever seen was in an American magazine a few years ago - an old biker, whose wife had just passed away, had an old b/w photograph of her tattooed on his chest, along with her name - brought a lump to my throat, it was a beautiful piece of work

At my tattoo artist's studio, there was one backpiece in particular that I loved to stare at and look at all the detail - it was amazing....it's an angel crying over a tombstone. In the background, there are flying skeletons with wings and storm clouds. It was one of the first pieces i saw when I went into his studio and knew that I wanted to go to this artist for my tattoo. For some reason, I love this tattoo....it's really sad and it's a depressing tattoo but it's amazing artwork.

when i was in tenerife a few years back i stumbled across this really cool bar owner, whose name i cannot forget but he had a tattoo that i will never forget. its quite hard to explain in detail but im gonna give it a crack.he had a bull on his chest, which was so large it was almost life like and went all around his body, but the coolest thing was the bulls nose (nose ring) was actually a star shaped nipple ring around his nipple, so the way it was designed has his nipple as the bnose (nose ring) and the rest of his body was the bull, if you could only see it......amazing

I don't know if it qualifies as the coolest but it was certainly the most poignant tattoo.
A former colleague of mine lost her son in an accident when he was in his early twenties. He was a good artist and she had one of his drawings, a Celtic type design, tattooed on her shoulder. Although she could not see it, that didn't matter. It represented her son and she felt that he was always with her because of that tattoo.

I saw a guy about 15 years ago that had "Shine on you crazy diamond" tattooed across his lower back. It was the first time I'd ever seen a tatto in that place, and such a meaningful phrase, So I took a photo of it.
I've lost teh photo now and I'm gutted !

I love some of the tats Kat does on Miami Ink - the pin up girl ones are lovely.
The smartest one I seen was a music stanza with some notes on it. I wanted to ask the girl what the music was but she went away!

My Friend had a tattoo of a fox hunt scene stretching right down his back. You couldn't actually see the fox other than it's tail which protruded from his anus, giving the impression that it had ran up it!!
