Since everyone without tattoos are going to look smashing when they're 80 and all... =( If I only knew that getting a tattoo made your skin sag more than people without...

That aside;
It depends on the person, and the tattoo. I love random, beautiful, colourful tattoos. I also love tattoos with a lot of personal meaning to the person with it.
I think tattoos should have meaning or actually look like art, instead of just "I wanted a tattoo so I got a heart on my butt" type of stuff.
Generally; I approve, it's a form of expression and has meaning, and it'll still have meaning when it's distorted from age, but at least the person with it will still cherish it.

"The only difference between a tattooed person and a person without a tattoo: the tattooed person doesn't care if you have a tattoo or not."

I have four tattoos and plan on getting a heck of a lot more. I think they are an excellent way of expressing your self. As long as I can remember I was in love with the permanent art of the skin. And who cares if your not a Metallica fan when your 60 or whatever? It's like a page in the book of your life. You can look back at the tattoo and remember when...

one million) Age: Mid 20s. two) Gender: Male. three) Do you prefer tattoos: no longer normally, however there may also be exceptions. Tattoos are an artwork kind, and such a lot tattoos are low cost artwork: they function dangerous dialog portions with little aesthetic cosmetic or importance in the back of them. Once in a at the same time, any individual has an fascinating or a lovely one, regardless that. four) There is not any purpose to love tattoos on females any in a different way than tattoos on guys, except one's sexually interested in them, which I'm no longer (truthfully, I generally tend to uncover females with out ink extra sexually stunning: tattoos (principally after they quilt plenty of truly property) conveniently function apparel that you can on no account take off. five) A 'tramp stamp' refers to a cultural fashion in which a lady exercises a tattoo within the small of her again (and normally couples it with apparel that leaves it rather uncovered continually) to indicate sexuality. It's a typical adequate train that it is as a substitute foolish to assume folks to not anticipate that is what it way. To make an analogy, the proposal that a ring made from valuable metals and containing a diamond worn at the fourth finger of the left hand indicates one's being in a powerful, individual courting could also be a cultural fashion - but when I received indignant if I wore a marriage ceremony band and folks assumed it intended I was once married, that might be foolish within the equal approach.

It's amazing how people without tattoos are so concerned about those that do and make such a big deal out of it. Non tattooed people can be the most judgemental I've ever met. People with tattoos know not to judge a book by it's cover. To have an opinion that you don't like tattoos and would never get one yourself is fine. To label people as "trashy" and worse because they do is pretty pathetic.

I think that its a totally personal choice. I myself have 4 tattoos and am currently working on my back. I'm 26 years old and I don't mind getting old and having tattoos. I have made the conscious choice to live with these modifications for the rest of my life. I work in the real estate business and haven't had a problem with people disapproving of them. In fact, most people ask about them and show me theirs--it makes me more personable by answering their questions and accessible to the buyers by being in touch with today's society. I think that it is self-expression through body modification. Tattoos are a way to modify your body and make it the way you want by saying what you want through the design. Tattoos are a work of art and if they are well-done, they make the person wearing them interesting. They can become excellent conversation starters and in today's society, they are as normal as wearing clothes--which is very cool. It is not a way to proclaim to the world how brave you are that you sat for a two hour session with a needle poking into your skin continuously or that you have some type of personal mission that the world needs to buy into--it has nothing to do with politics.This doesn't mean that there are still a lot of people that don't like them or approve of them--the world is full of people like this. Like I said, it is a personal choice and the people that don't like them need to learn to respect those that do enjoy them. Hope this helps! :)

They're just a form of expression. Understand that and accept that people have the right to choose to get tattooed. It doesn't really matter whether or not people approve.

I have no judgments over people who have tattoos or don't have tattoos. It's their own personal choice.

As far as tattoos being "trashy", I disagree. People from all walks of life have tattoos. I know one of my co-worker's father is a pastor, he has his entire chest done with religious symbols. You would be surprised how many pastors, CEOs of companies, teachers, lawyers, etc. have tattoos. A lot of people have tattoos, you just don't see them so you don't realize they're there.

I like well done tattoos. I dislike bad tattoos.

(And as far as people saying "when you're 90 years old, the tattoo will look bad!". Really, does ANYONE look that great when they're 90, regardless of the presence or absence of tattoos?)
