Stars have long fascinated mankind. Some people believe that we originally came from the stars. If you look deeper and some of the symbolism all around us you will find stars, suns and moons which came from stellar, solar and lunar cults.

What people forget was our ancestors worshiped the celestial bodies and this is probably where a lot of modern day interest arises.

I think it all depends on the girl.
I have 2 stars tattooed on my back & I got them because they were my first tattoos, and I wanted to know how it was, etc.
Plus, I just like stars...I didn't get them because I couldn't think of anything else & I didn't get them for any symoblic reason. They're just pretty.

Because all little girls are stars (in their parents eyes), a star is a sun, so yes everything does revolve around them. Its just a fad, like flower tattoos with celtic scroll around them, cute baby animal tattoos, dolphins and the like. If its the star of david then it has meaning, or the caballah star.

Who cares about whether it has meaning ? ? ? If you want to get a star tattoo then get a star tattoo and quit trying to attach some sort of perceived meaning behind it.

the nautical star has had a link to the gay movement since the 60's, women had them tattooed on the inside of their wrists, covered daily by a watch strap but able to be on show when they desired, theres plenty documentation to support this

girls can't think for themselves so they do whatever other people are doing. What's the meaning of a little frog on the back of the shoulder?
