if you want to keep your tattoo looking fresh you need to keep it out of the sun period. sunscreen does not keep the sun's damaging rays from breaking down the ink, it only protects your skin from damage. keep your tattoos covered when out in the sun as much as possible. otherwise your tattoo will look bad in a few years.

2 weeks is a minimum. Sun will always be the enemy of your tattoo so less is always best. Always sunscreen and cover as much as possible.

I was told three weeks when I did mine. You just want to make sure its all healed before you do and don't forget the sunscreen to keep it from fading

your tattoo artist will fill you in on all this information before or after you get your tattoo. Start to stop by the parlors and see who you feel most comfortable with. I think mine said to keep it isolated for at least one month and also keep it moist within that same month.

As long as its healed good your ok. But do not go into ocean for at least a month, the salt water will take some of your coloring out.

Use a high SPF sunblock (not sunscreen), and you should be able to once it is fully healed.
