i dont want to be another person telling you not to get one. i got one at 15 from a scratcher. im almost 18 now and nothing has happend no infections it hasent even faded. but that was God keeping me safe. my advice to you would be to wait but no one can tell you when your ready, 13 is a little old but if you wait till your at least 16 i think you ll be good. dont get anything dumb. dont get a band or skate board. get some thing that represents you or your family. or if you have a relationship with the Lord show it. some one said it eairlier but think about the future. get it some where not so noticable. like your back or upper arm even leg. i hope and pray that God will lead to to make a right choice in your life. oh and make sure ur parents are ok with what ever your getting. get something that will make them proud

First, unless some fool is going to do it at home, no licensed tat artist is going to touch you until you hit 18. That's 5 years away - plenty of time for your interests to change.
Next, before you get it just take 10 minutes to think about the future. Thing about what you want to get, and then think about explaining it to your future boss, husband, children, grandchildren. Look at that previous person who talked about getting something with your "project" on it -- explain that to your grandkids when you're 80! Just thinking about it will make most of your ideas seem more than a little stupid.
I know that's hard to do at 13, but if you're "mature" enough to think about getting something permanent imprinted under your skin then you should be mature enough to think about the consequences before you do it. You won't be a teenage girl forever -- teenage only lasts for 6 years, but some stupid decisions can last a lifetime!

Trust me save yourself a lot of pain and regret and get a henna tattoo, they are temporary ( like your skateboarding phase)

If you're a typical teenager you will typically change and mature and regret getting that tattoo. I feel bad for your future. Remember me when you realize what a scmuck and robot you were. Tsk Tsk.

My suggestion is wait until it's legal, which means 18 in most states. Think about it and think of something the means more than what you like. Relate to your life, something that has happened. Something important or someone like a family member that you look up to. Asking others means you aren't ready. When you are it will find you.

Welll, you have to think about what it is going to be, because it is on your body for the rest of your life and you also gotta think where you are going to get it and if it will ever stretch out. If I were you I would stop thinking about it now and start thinking when your at leas 15 1/2. Don't rush it.

If you're 13 and youre getting one when you're 16, that isn't very 'soon'. Wait until you're 18, you will probably get something really stupid when you're 16 and regret it. And please don't get any kind of BAM tattoo...seriously, there is nothing that great about him.

You can not get a tattoo for so long I would not worry about it yet. your intrest could change ten time before you are old enough. what i loved at 13 has long been forgotten.

Several points...at 16...most places will still not work on you unless you have your parent go with you. You have to be 18...
Also - when you eventually get your tattoo....re: what to get....if you have to ask, you shouldn't get.
