Some people refer to a tattoo on the small of a woman's back as a "tramp stamp.” Does this seem accurate to you? Do you believe that it should be there on a woman, or girl?

A tramp stamp because...
Wait, oh yeah, because certain girls DO have tattoos there, and they DO wear shirts that come up and show their buttcracks and they ARE tramps.

BUT WAIT-- oh yeah, then there are OTHER girls who have had a tattoo in that spot for years and still have friends go "You have a tattoo?!" when she mentions her ink. .. Haha.

It's a great spot for a tattoo, whether you want to show it off or not. If you do and you've got the body, GO FOR IT. If you don't, then hey, they make clothes that FIT for a reason, right?

that is a stupid saying that was said on some movie so now some people who like to imitate what they hear or can not think on their own repeat it. the shoulder blade, lower back, ankle, foot are places that are considered feminine for females. the saying is just as stupid as if you said any man who gets a tattoo on the top of his arm is impotent. No connection between tattoos and your sex life. If a man thinks that he is going around starting at a woman's butt all the time or he would not even be noticing the lower back.

yes, i have one. my husband helped me pick it out. we both like it and that is all that matters. i am not a tramp and my tattoo is not a tramp stamp. it is a tattoo like my other ones are. I am a wife, mother, i do volunteer work with disable kids, spend time with family, go to church. Just an average female. oh i ride my on Harley so i guess that stereo types me into another category. stop judging people. i wish i knew the tattoos that pedophiles had so i could keep them away from children. that could be so helpful if we could just look at people and judge their character by the tattoos they have. tattoos do not categorize people.

A tramp stamp? Are you serious? HAHA, how the hell are you a tramp for having a tattoo on your back??? Its a good place for women to get a tattoo. Most girls would look wacky with tattoos all over their arms like men do!

I think ink on a woman is great anywhere she has it. Many of my female friends are inked and they are NOT tramps. The small of the back IS sort of a trendy thing right now and is more of some kind of fashion statement rather than a sign of someones moral character, Get real, I'm tatted down, pierced, the whole bit, but I'm not a thug. It's more wistfull thinking on a lots of guys part.

I don't get this blanket statement on back tattoos. I have a band's logo on the small of my back, I don't think it's trampy. It's actually the least visible of all my tattoos. I'm a bit on the big side and I got it there because I knew it would stay covered unless I wanted someone to see it. I wear clothes that fit and don't ride up my back. I don't think that any of the stereotypes about tattoos are accurate. Actually for that matter, do you think any stereotypes are accurate?

I never did understand that phrase.
People get a tattoo for very different
reasons. A tattoo means, no more,
or no less, that exactly, what it means to you.
Everybody else can mind their own damn business.
Live and let live. Stop the hating make a better world.
If you're looking at a beautiful girl, walking down the street,
I doubt very much, if you are looking at the tattoo. Peace

No i have one on my lower back and im the furthest thing from being a tramp im actually getting my whole back done. People who say those things need to grow up. Im sure theres tramps out there with tats on their lower backs but the tat dont make them the tramp. Theyr a tramp with out it.

I think it all depends on the woman and how she displays it.
I have a tattoo on the Small of my back, but my husband is the only one to see it unless I'm at the beach.
I think if she is blatantly showing it then perhaps it is accurate.

HI THERE WELL my OWN opinion is I think women should not do tattoos it is a men thing but they do it any way we as parents can not stop them as they get older after 18 . my kids about 3 of them included girls have tattoos my 13 year old said she doing one when she gets older this generation is all in party's and tattoos it's the kool thing for them. and being in style it is a must not for these kids parents have to work two to three jobs .I personal think like this I give my daughter what ever she wants when I can give it to her I am not going to jack my bills up to please her needs . no good grades she gets nothing behavior bad in school zip nothing I think she is learn to appreciated what I give her when she does the right thing otherwise I end up losing a child to a world out of control even in death .
