white ink will not COVER any tattoo up. most of the time tattoos have to be covered with a darker color. not necessarily black but definitely not white. sorry, your artist told you wrong.

No. No, it won't. At best, it will look like a white blotch on your skin. At worst...well, I don't even want to think about it.
There are tattoo coverup kits. You can look online and shop for them. They aren't cheap and only last for a few hours (they are heavy-duty makeup), but they will do the trick for periods of time when they MUST be covered.
Your best bet would be to save up and get it removed. Some insurance companies will even cover part of the cost, so check with yours.

i just had one of my tattoos covered with a dark purple and black nautical star, and i still have to go back and have it touched up cause the old tattoo is still showing through. So i'm not too sure covering with white will work, since covering mine with dark colors still needs more work to fully cover. I would go to a tattoo place and see what they say, they are the experts.

unless you have PURE white skin you will still be able to see it. not a good idea. almost all people have some pigment to their skin. my best suggestion, if you dont want laser removal, would be to get something done over your tattoo or see if it could be altered to look like something else. check with your artist on both of these and go in with a couple ideas in mind. he should be able to work with you.

Your best bet would be to get a coverup with something that is darker than your current tattoo. You cannot get any lighter color tattooed over a tattoo to cover it up.

Hmmmmm I'm no tattoo artist but let's think about this.. Is your skin white?? No.. so would white ink be noticeable against your flesh? Yes! There's your answer! :)

Unfortunately no. White on any tattoo tends to (& almost always does) fade. Which would still leave you with your tattoo.

You can't cover a dark color with a light one. Look at it more like crayon. You can only go darker. I can't draw a black circle and use a white crayon to make it go away.
