"God so loved the world that he sent his only son so that we would not have to endure it. If we are eternally tortured it is because it is what we want. "

To which my reply is...

"thats like saying that even though it was the teacher that hit you upside the head for acting up in class, its your fault that they did so.

Or like saying that, even though a husband beats up his wife, she did something wrong so its her fault he did it."

Do you Christians honestly believe such a thing? That its the wife's fault because the husband hits her because he's punishing her for something she did wrong?

Can you not see how morally wrong that is?

God creates man. Man sins. God creates hell to put man in for sinning. God sends him self/his son to Earth to redeem man. Man must accept this act or go to hell.

Recall, God is omnipotent, so he could have just said "Nah, I'll cleanse them myself and not send them to Hell."

Is it just me or is that a spiritual protection racket?

Would you love and thank the local mobster who threatens to let his boys beat you if you don't pay him?

Okay athiest, you say you dont believe in Good because you say there is no proof. You say that Christains, Jews, Muslims and other religons that say Good exists, are wrong just because you say it cant be proven. Well you cant prove that The Lord doesnt exist, so why bother fighting. You say that disagreements over religion lead to fighting, but YOUR still fighting just the way they are, to see who's right. Dont you understand that the more you push, the more were going to push, and that will lead to nowhere. Why not just accept other peoples views, just like we do yours, and stop putting all this negativity on us.

the atheist after death was standing in a corner in hell and kept saying over and over again "It does not exist, It is not HOT!, and I am not here" Then a christian was standing in the other corner saying " There must have been a mistake, I was always right in all that I told was going to hell." And the Jewish Guy in the other corner was saying " Man, I missed it by that much." and finally the Jehovah's witness was in the last corner saying " Man I picked up the modified translation".
Hey it is just for laughs. Love much, laugh often, Judge not, and show mercy and compassion

When Jesus Christ said "Judge not that ye be not judged", what do you think that means?

IMHO, it's that WE are not to judge someone else's salvation. That means, no telling someone "You're gonna burn in hell if you (insert your favorite offense)."

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that people of specific denominations are or are not guaranteed salvation from hell, or that one must do specific things (other than accepting Christ, of course) or burn in hell; i.e. one must speak in tongues, one must believe in the rapture, one must wear certain clothes or their hair in a certain way, etc.

Why do you believe that people who don't believe exactly like you are going to burn in hell? That's certainly not what the Bible says.

called Necrophilia?

I mean they found his bones, and I'm pretty sure they are under lock and key, so I sincerely doubt anyone has loved Jesus since the days of Mary Magdalene, but to each his/her own I guess.

"Eternal torture is from Satan.

If you aren't a child of God, God will not protect you

God is not the one that tortures you"

To that I say...

"thats like saying that war is ok because it wasn't the soldiers that were killing the civilians, it was the civilians that were getting in front of the bullets."

Do you Christians seriously believe that its ok to do such a thing?

I attended a Mormon funeral recently. Both prayers were quite complimentary to God, and it caused me to wonder...is He influenced by the soft tones and embellished praises uttered by the Mormons?

If the need for religion is an evolutionary development in humans, presumably to strength the development of a society- then is it very wise for us to try to destroy what our fore-monkey-fathers thought so important for us to have?

-Obviously this isn't a question for people who believe in God, but for those who don't. And if you don't believe, surely you must see religion as evolutionary as it appears in every culture... So shouldn't we be religious for the sake of the earth and our species?

To atheists. Explain to me what is so wrong about killing from your point of view. Evolution says that we are nothing more than highly evolved animals, infact we're the problem! Polluting the earth like we do, why not kill everyone? And save the world.

What do you think.

can a satanist worship pagan gods???

There is a satanist spring equinox ritual that involves (Symbolically) invoking the nymphs and the greek god Pan.

so can a satanist worship the pagan gods???

~~~"The rule of Satanism is: if it works for you, great. When it stops working for you, when you've painted yourself into a corner and the only way out is to say, "I'm sorry, I made a mistake, I wish we could compromise somehow," then do it."
and i was wondering if this (if it works for you, great.) would also apply's to worshiping???
What if Hitler prayed the sinner's prayer and accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior in 1930? Would the Holocaust matter to his eternal destiny? Could he lose his salvation?
What exactly is the point of supplicative prayer? Isn't asking god to heal a loved one or for a new mercedes questioning his great plan? People say that prayer changes things ... if you truly revere god as much as you say, what makes you think that your requests would be enough to make him change one part of his divine plan ... which might, in fact, have an effect on his purpose for others?
Wasn't prayer originally intended for praise, not to be your "wishlist" for god?
This is fun though!
Ok so I thought of another, but could not think of the exact verse, I just had part of it in my head, so I looked it up and it is this one:
Micah 7:19
He will again have compassion on us;he will tread our iniquities under foot.You will cast all our sinsinto the depths of the sea.
-What verse has come to your mind RIGHT NOW?
