A taxi driver dies and goes to heaven and upon reaching the pearly gates he announces his presence to St. Peter, who looks him up in his Big Book. Upon reading the entry for the cabby, St. Peter invites him to grab a silk robe and a golden staff and to proceed into Heaven.

A preacher is next in line behind the cabby and has been watching these proceedings with interest. He announces himself to St. Peter. Upon scanning the preacher's entry in the Big Book, St. Peter furrows his brow and says, "Okay, we'll let you in but take that plain cloth robe and the wooden staff."

The preacher is astonished and replies, "But I am a man of the cloth! You gave that cab driver a golden staff and a silken robe. Surely I rate higher than a cabby!"

St. Peter responded matter-of-factly: "Here we are interested in results. When you preached people got bored and fell asleep, when the cabby drove his taxi people prayed.

I have moved!!

Can't remember if I told you that:

I have moved out from 1 Beggers Alley, located at
2 Poverty Lane at the corner of Bleak and Buster Circle . As of today, I have a brand new home.

My new address is Living Well on 3 Abundance Drive , located at the corner of Blessings Street and Prosperity Peak . No longer will I allow myself to travel on Begging Peter to Pay Paul Route, located at a Dead End Interesection called I Don't Have, it connects with Borrowers Junction.

I no longer hang out at Failure's Place, near Excuses Avenue , next to Procrastination Point. I've moved to an upscale community called Higher Heights with unlimited potential and opportunities for me to succeed.

Look at me, Each day that I'm awake, I am thankful that I'm a product of my new environment, all of my clothes are tailor made, I'm dressed in life's finest, let me introduce you to them : Devine Favor, Conceive, Believe, Act on Faith, Be Persistent,

If they only exist to serve and feed humans? Doesn't it make more sense to create robots who can't feel pain when we kill them and force labour onto them?

According to the story, Satan has free will. Hypothetically speaking, what would happen if he decided enough is enough and went on the straight road? Would it mean the end of tempation?

There is universal proof that Jesus exists. Most cultures and religions have stories about him. This includes places all over the world that are not easy to have access. Even the Native Americans have stories of meeting him when he was alive.

Jesus went around and learned all religions, and treated them all equally. He took the gifts they had to offer, and used them to help harmonize society.

So how come Christianity has such a close-minded religion?

I believe it does. I believe there are absolutes. But there are many people who believe that truth is relative, that your truth is yours and my truth is mine, that we should just tolerate all claims to truth. What do you think?

I've read several answers to different questions where people come back with the answer "how many wars were also fought in the name of Jesus". So I'm curious..how many were? When was the last time one was? Like 500 years ago if that? Kind of old to still use that for a excuse isn't it??

John 3:16 for God so loved the world he GAVE his only beggotn Son not to condemn the world but thru him be saved

Many more people have suffered and died in the twentieth century as a direct result of the actions of atheists than as a direct result of the actions of religious people (Russia under Stalin, China under Mao, Cambodia under Pol Pot, North Korea etc.) If atheism is more enlightened than religion, why did this happen?

the new testement wasn't written until 2-300 years after christ died, there was nothing written about christ being our god when he was actually here, not untill hundreds of years later.... Mathew, Mark, Luke, John, Job, were not actually written by the deciples Mathew, Mark, Luke, or John. Why the 200+ year delay to inform the world that it is saved? Why keep it a secret for 200+ years? there is documentation from that time period that there was a person named Jesus but nothing noted about him being our savior until hundreds of years later..... WHY??????

I have prayed and confessed for all of my sins. Sometimes I feel like that's not enough because I can't get good things 2 happen 2 me, even though I do good things from the heart. I can never get things 2 work the way I want, I feel like I'm still being punished even though I've learned my lesson. I want 2 become a better person and wash away my sins. I want 2 start going 2 church more and get baptised. Is this a good path for a better life and 2 become a better person?
