i just realized something.........

lets say you believe in God, and then when you die theres actually no such thing as God. no biggy youre dead.

lets say you dont believe in God, and then when you die you realize that there is a God. Eternity in Hell.

so, i think its safer to believe in God. its a win win situation.
Dont take this to seriusly, its just a though.

someone over it.

so why do so many people today willingly believe without question that supernatural forces must be & are responsible for anything that humans cannot formaly explain yet,
and decide that a draconian approach is an apropriate way to react based on their lack of understanding

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
...
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

who states that they are Christian, are not prone to anger?
Even God Himself got angry at times.
I have seen on here that people state that just because your chrisitan, that you don't act like a christian if you get angry. So I was just curious about this.
Note: Even a Christian is Human too

Last one before I call in the dogs.
Good Night or Day

Says she believes in God or a Higher Power, yet doesn't attend church.

She says she believes there is some truth in all religions and cannot define herself or limit herself by choosing just one. She also says there is a lot of nonsense in most religions.

She's a moral and ethical person, who seems very kind and helpful towards others, but seems to pick and choose what she wishes to believe. She's not worried about hell, and simply says "Why would I go to hell? I'm happy."

I was just sitting here pondering, is the way in which one acts and thinks born out of religion, or is it taught by ones ethical background, such as culture, family, or is this something that we learn through only religious systems.

We wonder looking at the various creatures of the world. Bereft of basic intellect, they live in groups, practices co-operation. See the bee-hive. How many bees toil to collect the honey and save in one common bee-hive. See the ants. How they labour all the day for the common cause of entire colony. We have to learn lessons from these tiny creatures to live a life of amity and co-operation. It is really a sorry state that man descends to beastial levels and catch the throat of others for his own greed, for his survival. What use the intelligence bequethed to him by the Almighty?

Could Jesus really walk on water, turn water into wine, heal the sick and raise the dead or did the Gospel writers exaggerate or invent his miracles in order to write a great story? (I don't need a lecture, I just want to hear what you believe.)
