I am not afraid of any god in the universe who would send me or any other man/woman or child to hell. If there were such a being, he would not be a god; he would be a devil. I do not consider it a sign of divine love to consign to hell people who live good lives but make an honest mistake in belief and if thinking freely for yourself is a sure ticket to hell, then the conversations in heaven must be awfully boring. (This has been pieced up with a few quotes I found and believe in.)
And my personal opinion or belief is that there is no heaven or hell. (Even though I am an Orthodox/Christian I believe in rebirth and I don't believe in the bible... I mean come on... Noah's Arc? Please don't take this seriously! I mean they might be trying to make us interpret something but I just can't see it... Who knows maybe I am to young to understand the world... 13... I am worrying about the next pimple sprouting out let alone when I am going to die and what's after...)

No heaven and hell are real places but they are not on earth.
Heaven is where God is. and hell at present is unpopulated.
At the end of time then Satan, his angels and all who choose not to accept Gods offer of redemption through Jesus will be thrown into hell.
Then God will unveil His new heaven and earth and all the believers will live with Him in the New Jerusalem, on the new earth.

As far as Hell is concerned, it at the monent has nobody in it- that only comes about at the Last Jugement. Nor does Satan rule in Hell- that's not where he is , but where he's going. Until John the Baptist- Satan was winning in Heaven- but from that day forward he began to lose, and will continue to do so until he is cast out, and into this universe- where he knows he now has a short time....

No. In heaven, there are not any suffering, discomfort, concerns and unhappiness. In hell, each and every undesirable element would properly be discovered there. and there is an eternal flame. In earth, human beings make their personal alternatives which will outcome their ecosystem and destiny. If someone is continually cranky and would not care about something, he's making his life a residing hell. yet when someone is continually searching contained in the shiny fringe of issues, he will continuously be at liberty and could get excitement from life. yet I assure you, in case you've self assurance and PRAY to GOD, your life will be a lot a lot less complicated because God will carry the load for you and he can help you get throught your complications. {God will make a fashion} for sure, devil will continuously locate your weak point and he will make you imagine that God would not care about you.

Daniel,
I believe that the BIBLE is GOD's Inspired WORD. We are told the "HE can not lie". Heaven and HELL are real places that HE has created as places of eternal rest or torture for the time after the Judgment. Christ will come and then HE will Judge each of us and separate us as sheep and goats. Which path are you on? I would be glad to study with you when you are ready. Have a great week.
Thanks,
Eds

EDIT:
Matthew's information is from 'way out there somewhere in space. How he got it... I do not know! I think that he is writing a book and is looking for readers. I am not one of them though.

To be in Heaven, one is in a State of Grace. Hell is, living without God. Most of the rest said about those "states" comes from references like Dantes Inferno, and not the Bible. I would say that yes, Heaven and Hell are found within oneself and not in the outer world.

The Bible hell is the grave.

However, this is the place Satan rules, Matthew 4:9.

Later the earth will become a Paradise, Luke 23:43, Rev. 21:1-4.

Maybe. Or maybe earth is hell and heaven is where we are when we are released from earth.

Have you ever seen the movie "What Dreams May Come" with Robin Williams? Excellent movie that relates to this subject.

Yes, I think so. In the alternative, heaven and hell may be two different descriptions of what happens after you die. If you are confronted with a Bright Light, perhaps the difference is in how you interpret it. If you are glad about it, you will feel it warming and welcoming you. If you are afraid, it will be hurting your eyes and burning you.
